Aluminium Billets Manufacturers, Suppliers & Exporters

A billet is a length of metal that has a round or square cross-section, with an area less than 36 in2 (230 cm2). Billets are created directly via continuous casting or extrusion or indirectly via hot rolling an ingot or bloom. Billets are further processed via profile rolling and drawing. Final products include bar stock and wire.
Billet is a term tossed around frequently and loosely in cruiserland, but many people are confused about what billet actually is and why it's usually expensive. Aluminium billets is mainly used for various architectural purposes, building & construction, electrical and mechanical engineering works. Primary products are produced both in Romania and China in the form of ingots. In Romania, most of the primary aluminium is used to manufacture cast house products, including wire rod, billets and slabs.

Billet is simply a "bar of metal." Billets can be made of magnesium or steel or iron or lead, but because of its light weight and relatively low cost (compared with other light metals such as magnesium and titanium), aluminum works best for cruising applications. However, since pure aluminum is a fairly soft metal, the aluminum most billet accessories are machined from is actually an alloy of aluminum and other metals. In the 1950s the Aluminum Association adopted a four-digit numerical classification system for aluminum. The first digit, the six, states that this alloy contains aluminum, magnesium, and silicon; giving the alloy good formability, corrosion resistance, and strength. (If the first digit were a one, the metal would be more than 99 percent pure aluminum.) The zero means that special controls to limit particular impurities within the alloy were not incorporated (not a concern in motorcycle applications). The final two digits identify the particular alloy within the aluminum, magnesium, and silicon group.

Since billet aluminum parts start their lives as blocks of aluminum, the finished parts must be carved from these blocks. The engineer creates the cutter tool list for their manufacturing material and the carving order that will result in the completed part (like a sculptor progressively removing aluminum from the billet).much of a piece of aluminum billet ends up in the recycling bin after a milling machine has extracted a part from within it. Billet-look or billet-like parts are usually cast items dipped in chrome.

Aluminium Wire Rods

Established under the Chemiplast Group of Industries, we are the leading manufacturers and suppliers of Aluminium wire rods and our clientele is not just limited to Himachal Pradesh and Punjab but USA, Korea, Japan, France, Canada, Singapore, Europe, Africa etc join the list. We have expanded our footprints in over 10 countries.

The reason for such a wide domestic and foreign reach is simple enough- they trust our product quality. And it is this trust of people we have maintained since 1978. We are approved vendor of the renowned and prestigious Power Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). We provide excellent and fastest delivery and are ISO9001- 2000 certified.

The Process of Manufacturing

Aluminum wire rods are manufactured by several processes such as extrusion, rolling, coiling or drawn directly from liquid aluminum. Aluminum can be elongated into bar-shaped or circular pieces with the help of these pieces and then can be machined for various applications. In fact various machine parts such as bolts, rivets, screws etc are made of aluminum. The aluminum wire is non-corrosive and has excellent electrical conductivity and hence is extensively used for electrical transmission purpose. Everyday products such as aluminum antennas, chain-link fence material etc are also composed of aluminum.
Manufacturing of Aluminium Rods
Aluminum wire rods can be produced by different ways and one such method is casting and rolling. The long and square ingot is heated and then repeatedly passed through a series of rolls and coils so as to reduce its cross-section area. These coils are then further heated and pulled through small dies in order to develop them into wires. We have induction heating systems for degassing; melting & holding furnaces for casting and rolling mills. Ageing furnaces for aluminum alloy conductors are also present.

What Makes our Aluminium Wire Rods Different?

We have state-of-the-art continuous casting and rolling mill in Himachal Pradesh that has a capacity to produce 15,000 MT wire rods annually. These wire rods have a diameter of 9.5 mm (EC grade/ alloy rods) and are used in conductor and cable industries (AAC, AAAC and ACSR).
Our aluminum wire rods are manufactured EC grade 1370 with 9.5 and 12 mm diameters.

Applications

Applications of Aluminium Rod wires

Due to the high electrical conductivity and non-corrosive nature of aluminum wires, they are extensively used in electrical transmission lines. In fact, when it comes to this particular field, the use of aluminum is unquestionable as they transmit double the amount of electric current as compared to copper. They are not just good conductors, but highly economical and recyclable too. They are used just about everywhere an electrical impulse needs to travel- transportation, commercial building, machinery and equipments and consumer durable. These wire rods are also used to produce cables and ACSR and AAC conductors. Alloy wires can be used for the production of AAAC.

Aluminium Wire Rod Manufacturer/ Exporter

Aluminium is simply the most economical way to deliver electrical power. It is used as Aluminium electric wire and a variety of Aluminium alloy material and bar material. Aluminium wire rod is the raw material for those high voltage cable and wire producers. They are ideal for Construction, Winding wire, Packaging, Aluminium antennas, fencing, Cables, Anodizing, Conducting and many other purposes. They are also used almost anywhere there is an electrical impulse to conduct—in commercial buildings, machinery and equipment, transportation and consumer durables. The wire transmits twice the amount of electrical current as copper, resulting in a cost effective solution which is also easier to maintain and infinitely recyclable. This is a market in which Aluminium has virtually no competition from other metals.

This Aluminium Wire Rod is available in the market at most reasonable rates. Aluminium wire is used pervasively in electrical transmission applications due to its superior conductivity and non-corrosive nature. The wire rods can be broadly distinguished into two following groups: a) Wire rod for general application - Wire rod made of aluminium for general applications is used for manufacturing the products such as nails, rivets, etc. and b) Wire rod for steel deoxidation.

PRODUCTION

Aluminium wire rod and bar products can be produced in several ways with the help of latest machinery and skilled professionals. One method is similar to rolling sheet. A long, square ingot is heated, progressively reduced in cross-section by passing it through a series of rolls, and then coiled. The coils are heated and, if slated to become wire, pulled through smaller and smaller dies. Aluminium Extruded can also be drawn directly into rod, bar and tube formations and then gradually thinned through dies.

Wire rods are as well known as the starting product for drawing or rolling, in which the cross-section of the aluminium wire is reduced. The wire rods have in general a diameter of 5 to 20 millimetres but in most cases between 7 and 12 millimetres. The tensile strength is usually less than the tensile strength of the ultimate product obtained by drawing. The wire is submitted to an older operation, in which precipitates are formed of the alloying elements which still had remained in solution, and this older operation enhances the mechanical and electrical characteristics of the wire.

APPLICATIONS:

Aluminium Wire Rod is extensively used in various industries for its multiple applications

• EC Grade Aluminium Wire Rods: It is used for the production of power cables, ACSR, ACC conductors etc. They are used for the purpose of electrical transmission due to its superior conductivity and non-corrosive nature. Products are manufactured based on different standards, among others European EN, German DIN, American ASTM, Russian GOST or the specifications provided. A wide range of diameters of wire rods allows meeting customers’ expectations and manufacturing specialist for custom made products.

Aluminium Alloy Wire Rods: Alloy wire rods are used to produce AAAC which are used as de-oxidant agents in Steel industries. • Mechanical Grade Alloy Wire Bundles
